How to Use a VPN on iPhone

We don’t have our own iOS app. On iPhone, well-established clients that import a subscription link do the job, and setup takes just a couple of minutes.

Which client to choose

On iPhone and iPad, Happ, Streisand or Shadowrocket from the App Store all work well. Each of them can import a configuration from a link or QR code and keep a secure connection running.

Connecting, step by step

  1. 1Install a client from the App Store (for example, Happ or Streisand).
  2. 2In your OzodVPN account, open the configs section: you’ll find a subscription link and a QR code there.
  3. 3Copy the link and choose “Add from clipboard” in the client, or scan the QR code.
  4. 4The client loads the server list. Pick a server and tap “Connect”.
  5. 5iOS will ask permission to add a VPN configuration. Confirm with Face ID or your passcode.
The nice thing about a subscription link is that servers update automatically: when we add or change nodes, the client picks them up on its own, with nothing for you to redo.

What this connection protects

Just like on other platforms, traffic is encrypted between your device and our server, and your real IP address is hidden. That matters most on public Wi-Fi, where data is easier to intercept.

If the connection is unstable

  • Switch servers in the client: the nearest one is usually faster.
  • Make sure your subscription is active.
  • Update the client to the latest version from the App Store.

FAQ

Why is there no OzodVPN app for iOS?

On iOS it’s more convenient and reliable to use mature clients (Happ, Streisand, Shadowrocket) with a subscription link. They’re updated regularly and support modern protocols.

How many devices can I use with one account?

It depends on your plan: from 1 to 5 devices at the same time. One subscription can cover both your phone and your tablet.
